I love this Aqara Smart Thermostat W200. It pairs beautifully with my Aqara doorbell, and I really like that when someone rings the bell, their picture shows up right on the thermostat screen so I know who’s at the door. The scheduling works great too, keeping the house comfortable while we’re away and adjusting the temperature back down when we get home.

One of my favorite parts is how customizable it is. You can change the screen settings, adjust the layout, add widgets, and even set up scenes, which makes it feel very flexible and tailored to my home. It’s also HomeKit compatible, which was a must in our household and made it an easy choice for us. Installation was simple as well. I had an Ecobee before, so I just took a picture of the wiring layout and connected it the same way, and the whole setup couldn’t have been easier.

It’s a very good fit for a smart home and has made things simpler, more convenient, and more personalized for us.

This is the easiest and fastest setup I have ever done. So far, this thermostat is above and beyond others. There are so many features and it works on my Apple home (matter and thread). This is the one to buy.

Nice thermostat that has a lot of nice features and probably more to come easy to install fairly easy to set up software great for Apple Home users.

Easy to install and everything works as expected. The matter hub functionality is a nice bonus especially if you have other Aqara smart devices. The app is decent and has great options for automation. The thermostat itself has all the necessary function, but it is missing some advanced ones like setting differential temps or using averaging temps from multiple remote sensors. I hope they add those through firmware updates

I love this. Connected easily, great with HomeKit, saved me money already on my power bill as it’s never been this low, I really can’t think of anything to complain about. I’m running an older unit, no issues hooking up. It walks your through great and integrating into your HomeKit ecosystem is nothing. I really can’t recommend this enough. Especially if you’re running an older unit or upgrading from a static thermostat. Saved me money already

Got the thermostat. Installed it correctly - double checked the instructions. It’s not working. I think I got a dud. I’m going to have to reinstall the original thermostat and consider getting nest or ecobee which I don’t want.

Update: increased to 3 stars from 1 star. Actual rating 2.5 stars. Turns out my builder installed faulty wiring and and a fuse was blown and that’s why the thermostat wasn’t working. Electrician came out, got the wiring and the fuse fixed. Got the thermostat connected to the Aqara app but it won’t connect to the home app. I keep getting pairing failed. So. It works but not in the way I want. I chose this over ecobee because I wanted the adaptive temperature and I didn’t want nest because I wanted to get away from Google. Not sure that I would recommend this.

The Aqara app is not intuitive, the screen isn’t particularly responsive. It’s clearly a product in its infancy and needs A LOT of work.

Device has been working smoothly for about a month now. I needed to get the C wire adapter because I didn't have a smart thermostat before. Aqara sells a reasonably priced one that works well. Connected with Home Assistant easily, I specifically chose this for the Matter/thread connection and that worked as expected.

Bought this unit to replace the NEST. Loved the NEST over the years but when functionality was taken away I've been looking for an alternative. The Aqara is more than just a fully featured thermostat, it will also act as a HUB for Matter devices especially convent for those who dabble in Home automation. The Aqara integrates seamlessly with many 3rd party apps including Home Assistant and Apple Home for my use case. This device is a significant step up from my old NEST giving you local control over the devices without the need for a connection to a cloud based integration.

I was going to buy the ecobee, however I saw this was being released. Waited a couple months to get the initial quirks and software glitches sort it out then purchased. I am blown away by how well it works installation very easy once you know your color codes, and how the HVAC technician wired in your heater and air conditioner. Strongly recommend I would also suggest getting some temperature and humidity controllers or monitors for different rooms so the controller can actually keep the house at a consistent temperature across. We all know that sometimes you have one room that’s hot one room that’s cold Gill because the thermostat is running off of one room if you add more sensors it’ll utilize them to average the temperature across.

Easy to install. Two screws to mount. Took me 5-6 minutes and only a Phillips screwdriver.

I plugged it to wall and set up in the on-screen menus without issue. Joined local wifi, ran firmware update, and rebooted (manually) afterwards.

After install and update: Adds to Aqara app with no issues, adds to iOS home app with one click ( if on same wifi network. note Thread needs IPv6 - so go enable that on your wifi network router if you don't have it so far ).

The wealth of scheduling options in Aqara app is awesome. This is great if you want it to do what you tell it to, instead of auto. Can also be combined with either schedule or location which makes it more consistent than full auto. Full auto is availabke also if you are into that. The ability to choose is the golden ticket on this one.

Pairing of my existing Aqara lock and H2 switches was a cinch too.

I was so excited to get this for the Smart Home features with Apple and integration with my Aqara door bell and locks... but it doesn't have humidifier ACC+ support, which even my Nest from almost 10 years ago had! Huge oversight for Canadian customers. Had to return.
