The box didn’t seem as solid or high quality as other boxes I have come to expect from Switchbot so I was a bit anxious about the product. No need though - this has proven quite useful in the couple days I’ve had it already.

By far the best thing about this is portability. The battery power allows me to move it where I need it. Sounds dumb, but actually it’s a feature I didn’t realize I needed. I love being able to put it in a space where I need air movement while completing a task without worrying about plugging and unplugging. It’s light enough to be able to move around easily, sturdy enough to not worry about moving it.

Build quality wise - motor gets pretty fast. At the highest setting, it’s not quiet by any means, but it does move quite a bit of air. And it CAN be quiet. Compared with some other Switchbot products, it doesn’t feel as premium as the best products; a little more plasticky than others. But as you can expect from Switchbot, it doesn’t seem cheap.

The fan offers some other nice features too: horizontal and vertical oscillation, a night-light option, preset modes for sleep and baby and natural. Comes with a remote, works with your smart home, and physical buttons as well.

As always, connection to the app is super easy. The price could be a tad high, but all in all, pretty happy with this purchase!

This is a great fan with matter support. Assembly was quick and easy - just a couple of parts to twist together and then you add it to the Switchbot app. I was able to then add it to both Apple Home and Google Home, as well as to Home Assistant by linking it through my SwitchBot Hub 2.

It is a bit smaller than the typical pedestal fan, but it is powerful at its highest setting. The amount of noise depends on how fast you have it set to - the lowest level is essentially whisper quiet. It can oscillate horizontally or vertically or both, with ranges set to 30, 60, or 90 degrees via the app.

It looks nice, especially with the nightlight on. It would be a cool future enhancement to add RGB lighting, but the soft white light is a classy look.

The best feature is that instead of just a weighted base, it is a giant battery in the base, meaning you can charge the fan and then place it anywhere without fear of tripping over a cord.

Works great! My only negative is that the charge doesn’t last as long as I thought when using it unplugged. Otherwise, quiet, good power and the remote is great. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend.

This fan has far exceeded my expectations. Theres so many things to love about it.

First, it is strong. It creates a nice breeze even at the lowest setting. When you go to higher settings it just blows you away - quite literally. Even as strong as it blows, it is still extremely quiet.

A nice feature is that you can set the oscillation to go both horizontally and vertically. This is great for me as the room ill be primarily using it in doesnt have a ceiling fan so we need a way to circulate the air around the entire room.

Lastly for this review, this thing is battery operated! That means once its charged we can move it anywhere we want cords free. This is a fantastic feature. My wife says she will use it on the deck to create a breeze on hot days. Ill move it to different spots in the room to circulate the AC and even push the AC to other rooms.

My sister bought this fan and after sitting in the room for a couple of hours thinking that it was not even turned on. I was shocked to see how quiet it actually is. So I immediately bought one myself, and I’m so glad I did! Not only is a quiet, but it has excellent range oscillating side to side and up and down and a number of different settings. And the icing on the cake is it’s battery powered. My power went off twice last week during storms, and it was such a relief to still have the fan, keeping me cool.

Let me start off by saying I asked the size of the fan blades since it wasn't listed. That was already a sign this company was shady, while every other company doesn't withhold that information. As shown, they responded by saying 9 inches. However upon receiving it, it looked quite small. Even after using it a bit, the amount of air it moved seemed small. So I took the housing apart following the included instructions and measured.

As you can see from the pictures, the housing itself is only 8 inches. How can you fit something that is 9 inches into something with room for 8 inches? You can't. Measuring the blades, it's maybe 7.5 inches at the most. And that was trying best to get the biggest size possible. Also the price will always be $100. If you look at the price history, when it goes back up in price, they always include a coupon to bring it back down to $100. They're manipulating the price history to make it seem like $100 is the deal.

I kinda thought all these reviews were bogus because usually Switchbot products (which I have many) get about a 4 to 4.5 star review. BUT--- this fan is unbelievable!! Hook up, use with remote, your app, or your voice. Has a built in light, a super powerful breeze and overall sleek look. Also place it anywhere without the plug and depending on the speed of fan will last a while-like hourrsssssss! Grab it while ya get the 30 bucks off!

Très efficace, bonne qualité. La batterie tient bien en mode fonctionnement moyen mais le temps de recharge demande plusieurs heures. Pour le moment impossible de l'associer a Google ou alexa malgré de nombreuses tentatives ?

Really happy with my new SwitchBot fan - it cools really well, with a lot of different speeds and reaches a good few meters away that you can feel it cooling. It turns really quietly and the flow is so good it bounces off walls and ceilings giving all around cooling. I honestly didn't realise it was a battery powered item too, thought it was mains so that's cool - allows me to move it around without a cable to different rooms

A few observations that are worth calling out. The finish is a plastic finish with a wood grain in the middle and just beige. On first glance i wasn't a fan but actually once it's built it does look really nice from a distance!

The fan can be different sizes but this is achieved by removing sections of the stand. I thought this would be able to collapse and enlarge in place. It's easy enough to do, but does mean if you reduce the height you need somewhere to store the bits too

One thing that really wasn't clear is that it's battery powered! I'm not sure if i missed that but looking at the listing it does say power cable etc. It comes with a figure of 8 cable, but charging can be mains or usb (no usb provided) - it can run off permanent power, but the batter is great!

Overall, very happy!

A smart fan? is that something I really needed? I doubt it but I love my gadgets and home automation so in the basket it went!

I certainly love the fact that this fan has 0, 30,60 or 90 degrees oscilation for both horizontal AND vertical. This by itself is already a killing feature as most cheap fans only do horizontal without any configuration options. Both can be configured separately for whatever you want. There are also 4 different fan speed settings to play with but I already prefer the nice and quiet baby setting.

Another something I know we're going to love is that portability. The fan can run several hours on the built-in battery which will be nice when it's getting hotter. In the summer I'll probably also start using the extension poles because right now it's a table top fan but there are 2 extension poles that can be added to make it a floor standing fan. I am afraid though that my wife might confiscate the fan though because of this....

The night light can be controlled separately from the fan functionality using the app, the remote control or on the fan itself. There are 2 settings that neither generate tons of light but it does move with the fan so if you don't like moving lights and shadows in your room I would keep the fan from moving with it enabled.

But is there anything negative as I am giving this smart fan four stars? I think the RGB is a bit overrated as it's nothing more than a night light with 2 settings in the amount of light it produces (not bad but not real rgb either). I would have loved it to be controllable rgb as most people would expect when seeing the term. Also it is not the cheapest fan but when you look at the options and the fact that it can also purely run on the built-in battery I find it acceptable.

Edit: there are now options int he siwtchbot automations to also automate fan/light on/off and even the intensity for the light so that's a great improvement since my original review.

Ich nutze den SwitchBot Standventilator jetzt seit einiger Zeit und bin wirklich sehr zufrieden. Schon beim Auspacken macht das Gerät einen hochwertigen Eindruck und wirkt stabil verarbeitet. Das schlichte Design mit der dezenten RGB-Beleuchtung ist ein echter Hingucker, vor allem abends sorgt das für eine angenehme Atmosphäre.

Was mich am meisten überzeugt hat, ist die Lautstärke, bzw. eigentlich das Fehlen davon. Selbst auf niedrigen bis mittleren Stufen ist der Ventilator kaum hörbar, was ihn perfekt für das Schlafzimmer oder das Arbeiten im Homeoffice macht. Die angegebenen 22 dB wirken realistisch.

Auch die Leistung passt: Der Luftstrom ist angenehm stark und sorgt schnell für eine gute Luftzirkulation im Raum. Durch die verschiedenen Modi und die insgesamt 9 Geschwindigkeitsstufen lässt sich alles sehr fein einstellen, egal ob man nur eine leichte Brise möchte oder richtig Abkühlung braucht.

Die Bedienung ist ebenfalls durchdacht. Neben der Fernbedienung kann man den Ventilator auch bequem über die App steuern und in ein Smart-Home-System integrieren (z. B. über Matter mit Hub). Das funktioniert zuverlässig und macht die Nutzung deutlich komfortabler.

Sehr praktisch finde ich auch die Höhenverstellbarkeit und den Timer, den ich häufig abends nutze. So läuft der Ventilator noch eine Weile weiter und schaltet sich dann automatisch ab.

Der Ventilator hat ein Akku, deshalb ist es auch möglich den im Garten zu nutzen, klappt sehr gut ❤️

Ein rundum gelungener, moderner Ventilator: leise, leistungsstark und mit vielen sinnvollen Funktionen. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung, ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

La cosa che apprezzo di più è la sua estrema silenziosità alle basse velocità.

Io lo uso così:

Velocità al minimo, a circa 2 metri dal letto....lo blocco in una posizione e me lo sparo addosso. Mi arriva una leggera e piacevole brezzolina, tanto che a un certo punto mi costringe a dormire con un lenzuolo...anche se in realtà in camera fa molto caldo (28-29 gradi)! Perfetto direi.

Alle velocità più alte il rumore aumenta inevitabilmente.
