Bio

Matt Cromwell is a WordPress product founder who built and sold GiveWP in a seven-figure acquisition. After leading a 100-plus-person customer experience organization at StellarWP, he now helps other freemium product creators grow sustainable businesses with the strategies and systems that fueled his own success. He’s the founder and co-host of WP Product Talk and Glam that Plugin. Matt was born and raised in California, but now lives and works in Germany with his wife and four children.

Matt has served nonprofit organizations since early 2000’s as a web developer, educator, fundraising consultant, marketing consultant, board member and more. Matt is a fundraising and operations consultant for San Diego Refugee Tutoring, a volunteer driven organization dedicated to serving the rising refugee population of children in San Diego.

Matt is a husband, father to four, and lover of all things musical and/or homebrewed. He also loves to talk about the most taboo of topics: Politics and Religion.

WordPress Origin Story

Someone asked me to build a WordPress site in 2011. I said: “Sure”. The rest is history.
