Good practices preserved
- Action is still pinned to a full commit SHA (9c091bb…) with the version in a comment, consistent with how the
rest of the workflows pin actions. Supply-chain hygiene is maintained. - Change is mechanical and applied consistently across all 3 workflows / 8 call sites (integration.yml,
release.yml, test.yml).
Major-version breaking change — assessed, not impacting
The headline breaking change in v7.0.0 is that it blocks checking out fork PRs for pull_request_target and
workflow_run triggers (actions/checkout#2454). I checked the triggers in all affected
workflows:
- integration.yml → push, pull_request, workflow_dispatch
- release.yml → push (tags v*)
- test.yml → pull_request, push
None use pull_request_target or workflow_run, so this change does not affect us. The fetch-depth: 0 usage in
release.yml for goreleaser is also unaffected.
Conclusion: Safe to merge once CI is green.
